More than 1,500 people were lost when the HMS Titanic sunk in 1912. In this Tony Award-winning musical, Peter Stone and Maury Yeston tell the stories of many of the people on board that ship, from the depths of the third class cabins to the captain himself. Hopes that ran as high as the massive ship's smoke stacks at the beginning of the voyage turned to dread as the full weight of the impending disaster was realized. The story of the ship, its passengers and crew--as well as its ultimate fate--are told with some of the most lush and beautiful music ever to grace a stage. Titanic is an epic musical that will stay with you long after you leave the theater.
