New York, 1971—there’s a party on the stage of the Weismann Theatre and the next day, the iconic building will be demolished. Thirty years after their final performance, the Follies girls gather to have a few drinks, sing a few songs, and lie about themselves. National Theatre Live is a broadcast filmed in front of a live audience in a theatre in the United Kingdom, with cameras carefully positioned to ensure that cinema audiences get the ‘best seat in the house.’
