Rachel York Launches 10-City Concert Tour

Drama Desk Award-winning actress and singer Rachel York (Disaster!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) embarks on a 10-city concert tour from December, 2016 through April, 2017 beginning with Michael Feinstein's American Songbook at NJPAC! December 1. York joins Feinstein, Andrea McArdle, Jared Grimes, and Youth Songbook Ambassador Julia Goodwin at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark for a cabaret and Q&A featuring favorite American standards. The program will be filmed before a live audience for future broadcast on NJTV, WNET, and WLIW21.

The rest of December York celebrates the holidays with concerts in Ohio and South Carolina. On December 3 at 8 p.m. she is led by conductor Randall Craig Fleischer in Christmas in the City with the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra at the DeYor Performing Arts Center. December 16-18 she celebrates Holiday at Peace with conductor Edvard Tchivzhel and the Greenville Symphony Orchestra in three concerts at the Peace Center Concert Hall.

Beginning in January York mixes the best of Bond with the best of Broadway in symphony concerts throughout the country. January 28-29 she sings The Music of James Bond and more with conductor Stuart Malina and the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. February 24-26 she joins conductor David Charles Abell and the Philly POPS in Blockbuster Broadway at the Kimmel Center.

March 17-18 York co-stars with vocalist Ben Crawford in Broadway's Best with Joel Levine as the celebrated conductor leads the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and his guests through seven decades of classic show tunes. March 31 through April 2 York stars in 007: The Music of James Bond with conductor Stuart Malina and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Songs include ones made famous by Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, Carly Simon and Adele.

On April 9 at 7:00 p.m. York joins Melissa Errico, Doug LaBrecque and the Gulf Coast Symphony in journeying from Hollywood to Broadway at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Ft. Myers, FL. April 21-22 York becomes the ultimate Bond girl in The Spy Who Loved Me with the Utah Symphony led by Randall Craig Fleischer.

York concludes her tour with Classic Broadway May 26-28 with the Houston Symphony under the baton of Michael Krajewski. The concert program features music of the masters - Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, Cole Porter, and George Gershwin.

Rachel York is a dynamic and versatile actress and singer. Ms. York can also be seen opposite Cristin Milioti in the new Samuel Goldwyn Films rom-com It Had to Be You directed by Sasha Gordon. The feature film will be released digitally online and on DVD December 20.

In concert, Ms. York has appeared as a soloist worldwide including appearances with the New York Pops; the National Symphony; and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. She has also performed in her celebrated one-woman shows to rave reviews.

Ms. York's solo album, Let's Fall in Love, was named one of the Top Ten Vocal CDs of the year by Talkin' Broadway.
