Montreal's premiere storytelling event - without notes, props or gimmicks - will be taking over the MainLine main space and MiniMain for its annual Nuit Blanche tradition The Shortest Stories - Part V! That means 2 hosts, 2 theatres, 32 storytellers, 1 Nuit Blanche. Saturday February 28, 8PM.

Confabulation's ever-growing popularity has encouraged producers Matt Goldberg (Uncalled For) and Paul Aflalo (No More Radio) to expand the evening's showcase to accommodate more Montrealers as they brave the February freeze to embark on a scavenger hunt for the best pop up art Nuit Blanche has to offer. Confabulation's Shortest Stories is the best way to kick off your Nuit Blanche experience as its format of 32 stories, all under 2 minutes, matches the evening's frenetic and excited energy, with an unpredictable rollercoaster ride of funny stories, sad stories, stories of great adventure and stories of outright humiliation all with at least one thing in common - they are all true.

To whet your storytelling appetite, find the Confabulation Podcast on Montreal's first podcast network No More Radio (nomoreradio.com).

Also part of MainLine Theatre's Nuit Blanche line up, Matt Goldberg and Mike Hughes of Montreal's famed sketch comedy troupe Uncalled For will remount this summer's Fringe hit A Bandolier of Dreams, an absurdist comedy of manners improv in the Uncalled For signature stream of consciousness style. Playing in the MainLine Mainspace at 10:30pm. Uncalled For most recently finished a hugely successful run of their newest show Playday Mayday at the 18th Annual Wildside Festival.

Confabulation has been presenting a new theme with 6 storytellers on the first Saturday of every month for almost 5 years. After Nuit Blanche, Confabulation will be back at MainLine on April 6th with the themes April Fish: Stories of tricks, traps, and getting hooked and then again on May 2nd to celebrate its fifth year anniversary with Montreal: Stories about our city, our home. Thanks Montreal.
