The Second City DYSFUNCTIONAL HOLIDAY REVUE Comes to Marcus Center, Now thru 12/16

The Marcus Center has announced that Chicago's legendary comedy theatre The Second City will appear at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts-Vogel Hall at 123 East State St tonight, December 6-16. The Second City's Dysfunctional Holiday Revue delivers a healthy dose of seasonal satire where neither holiday film classics, family gatherings nor Christmas carols are too sacred for a show that is the perfect alternative to the same old holiday shows.

Founded in Chicago in 1959, The Second City has become the premier training ground for the comedy world's best and brightest. Their alumni list reads like a who's who of American comedy, as it includes: Mike Nichols, Elaine May, Alan Arkin, Joan Rivers, Robert Klein, Peter Boyle, Harold Ramis, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, George Wendt, Martin Short, John Candy, Bonnie Hunt, Tim Meadows, Chris Farley, Mike Myers, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Horatio Sanz, Ryan Stiles and countless others.

Not only will an evening with The Second City provide audiences with the chance to see comedy stars in the making, but they will also have the opportunity to see hilarious satire and cutting-edge improvisation - all with a special holiday slant. It's a fast-paced, interactive comedy revue filled with style and wit - where even Rudolph is fair game.

Tickets for The Second City's Dysfunctional Holiday Revue are $40 (subject to change).
