March 9 - MA/MFA Spring Thesis Exhibition Gallery Talk, 4-6 pm, Inova/Kenilworth
The first of two annual spring exhibitions of work by graduate students in the Department of Visual Art features four artists receiving their MA degrees: Maria Bolivar, Kristin Haas, Richard Mutz and Leah Schreiber.
Free, show runs through March 20th

March 9-14 - Our Town, all shows at 7:30 pm except Sunday at 2 pm), Mainstage Theatre
Student performance of Thornton Wilder's hauntingly beautiful journey through life and love in Grover's Corners describes, as no other play does, how we imagine ourselves.
Tickets: $15 general/$9 students, seniors & UWM alumni

March 11 - Repetition: Closing Reception, 5-7 pm, Inova/Zelazo
Features Department of Visual Arts fibers students' work.

March 12 - Guest Recital: Margaret Fingerhut, Piano, 7:30 pm, Peck School of the Arts RecitAl Hall
Acclaimed British pianist Margaret is regarded as one of the most poetic pianists of her generation who has captivated audiences in many different countries with her imaginatively designed recital programs, "A World of Piano Themes."

March 12 - Chamber Orchestra, 7:30 pm, Helen Bader Concert Hall
The UWM Chamber Orchestra is joined by guest Theodore Soluri, bassoon, for a concert that includes Variations on a Theme of Haydn by Brahms, Weber's Andante and Hungarian Rondo and Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 ("Eroica").
Tickets: $10 general/$7 students, seniors & UWM alumni, faculty & staff

March 12 - Experimental Film/Video Series: Carousel: 4th Annual 35mm Slideshow Invitational, 7 pm, Woodland Pattern Book Center
Participants in this 4th annual slideshow invitational are asked to present a show of 35mm slides; previous incarnations have included monologues, performance pieces, song, multiple projectors and audience participation.
Tickets: $4

March 12 - Friday Night Drawing, 7-10 pm, Art Building 463
Draw the nude male or female figure from a variety of poses. Non-instructional session. Open to artists of all skill levels. Bring your own supplies.
$7 per session, bring cash only; or $30/5 sessions; $50/10 sessions; $80/20 sessions

March 13 - Flute Series: Molly Barth, 1 pm, Peck School of the Arts RecitAl Hall
Molly Barth, a founding member of 8th Blackbird and now flute professor at University of Oregon, offers a recital and master class. The master class begins at 2:30 pm, following the performance.

March 13 - Master Singers of Milwaukee & Ko-Thi Dance Company: Voices of Liberation, 7:30 pm, Helen Bader Concert Hall
The Master Singers of Milwaukee are joined by the Ko-Thi Dance Company for a performance of Missa Luba, a version of the Latin Mass based on traditional Congolese songs arranged by Father Guido Haazen.
Tickets: General $18, Senior $15, Student $10

March 14 - Leonard Sorkin International Institute of Chamber Music, 3 pm, Peck School of the Arts RecitAl Hall
UWM Peck School of the Arts graduate students in chamber music perform.
