The Marcus Center is honored to present the Starry Nights Orchestra along with the Florentine Opera Company and Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra for a one night only, free program tonight, July 2 at 7:00 pm at Marcus Center's Peck Pavilion.

This free patriotic and Americana music program is a unique collaboration between the Marcus Center and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center. There will be pre-concert entertainment by the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra New Orleans Stompers. This event is a wonderful way to start the 4th of July weekend on the Marcus Center's grounds.

The program will feature a variety of performers from the Florentine Opera Company and members of the Starry Nights Orchestra. Carter Simmons, Artistic Director of Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, will conduct the program and Elizabeth Warne, Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, will be the concertmaster. Vocals will be by Saira Frank, soprano, and Nathan Krueger, baritone, both of the Florentine Opera Company.

The Starry Nights Orchestra is comprised of members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, Present Music, Wisconsin Philharmonic, Skylight, and other musicians that perform for the Broadway Across America series at the MCPA, record television and radio commercials, and provide back-up services for national touring acts at the Riverside Theater, Pabst Theater, Milwaukee Theater, and Northern Lights Theater.

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts is owned and partially funded by Milwaukee County. The Marcus Center has been the premier entertainment destination for Milwaukee and Wisconsin since 1969. It provides the setting for outstanding cultural experiences, where the arts come to life for current and future generations. Located in the heart of the Downtown Theater District, the Marcus Center is a community facility that offers live performance of opera, ballet, children's theater, symphony and first-class national touring productions.
