Open Mic Series to Kick Off This September at The Kentucky Center

River City Drum Corp & ArtsReach present The Kentucky Center's Open Mic Series, beginning Sunday, September 11 and continuing December 11, March 12 and June 11 from 4-7pm at the Bomhard Theater (501 West Main Street).

The Open Mic, in its 6th season, has moved into The Bomhard Theater. Open to vocalists, spoken word artists, dancers and dance groups and musicians, the quarterly event provides an opportunity for local artists to participate in the performing arts and share their talent with others.

These events are free and open to the public and for all ages. Participants are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes early to sign up, or email jyoungblood@kentuckycenter.org to be included on the list of performers.

The Kentucky Center ArtsReach nurtures and develops diverse artists and audiences, engages youth, creates community through the arts and through professional development empowers community centers to program the arts.

The mission of The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts is to lead and enrich the artistic, educational and economic vitality of the region by providing unparalleled programming and cultural events. The Center serves Kentucky through education and initiatives which expand and diversify audiences while enhancing their understanding, appreciation and support for the arts.
