Music Theatre Louisville (MTL) is rolling out the 2011 summer season at The Kentucky Center's Bomhard Theater! We are thrilled to offer quality, affordable, and fun with 3 award winning Broadway productions, Ain't Misbehavin', Guys and Dolls, and Big: The Musical!

Ain't Misbehavin', June 24-26, June 28-July 2, 7:00 p.m.; Matinees, June 26 & July 2, 1:30 p.m.
Jazz legend Thomas "Fats" Waller rose to international fame during the Golden Age of the Cotton Club, honky tonk dives, and that jumpin' new beat, Swing. Although not quite a biography, Ain't Misbehavin' evokes the delightful humor and infectious energy of this American original as a versatile cast struts, strums and sings the songs he made famous in a career that ranged from uptown clubs to downtown Tin Pan Alley. The outrageously prodigious comic and musical soul of 1930s Harlem Renaissance lives on in this rollicking, swinging, finger-snapping revue that is still considered one of Broadway's best, featuring swanky numbers "Ain't Misbehavin'", "This Joint is Jumpin'", and "Spreadin' Rhythm Around". Directed by Rush Trowel, Musical Direction by Gayle King, Choreography by Greg Greene. Musical headliner - world renowned jazz pianist Harry Pickens.

Guys and Dolls, July 15-17, 19-23, 7:00 p.m.; Matinees, July 17 & 23, 1:30 p.m.

Based on Damon Runyon's short story "The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown," Guys and Dolls revolves around Nathan Detroit, the organizer of the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York, who bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson $1,000 that he can't convince the next girl he sees to go to Havana with him. The next girl he sees happens to be Miss Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart Salvation Army-type reformer, and the stage is set for a hilarious evening of complications and high hitting showtunes like "Luck Be a Lady", and "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat". Directed by Peter Holloway, Choreography by Megan Bliss.
Big: The Musical, August 5-7, 9-14, 7:00 p.m.; Matinees, August 6, 7 & 14, 1:30 p.m.
The 1987 hit movie featuring Tom Hanks bursts onstage in this vibrant, funny and touching musical. When frustrated adolescent Josh Baskin wishes he were "big" and wakes up the next morning a 30-year-old man, he discovers there's much more to being an adult than he's bargained for-and learns we must all grow up at our own pace, in our own time. A witty, moving, insightful book and a dazzling, energetic, heartfelt, contemporary score make this already classic motion picture fantasy an unforgettable theatrical experience. Directed by Andrew D. Harris and Choreographed by Megan Bliss.
