The Carnegie is thrilled to announce the return of the G.E.T. Together Series, a collaborative, interactive series bringing together the talents of The Carnegie's Gallery, Education, and Theatre departments.

The Carnegie's 2017-18 G.E.T. series will kick off in October with Drinking About Art: The Banksy Debate, a humorous debate and drinking game pitting two local artists against each other to debate the merits and mystique of noted street artist Banksy. In November, The Carnegie will kickoff the holiday season with Holiday Artisan Market and Kids' Fair, a one-of-a-kind artisan market featuring handmade goods for sale from local artists. The season closes in June with GIANTS IN THE SKY, a family day featuring a performance by the Camp Carnegie All-Stars.

"Last year's G.E.T. Series events were an absolute blast," said Carnegie Theatre Director Maggie Perrino. "It was so cool to see theatre patrons, gallery patrons, and education families mingling at these new events, meeting new people, and becoming an even bigger part of The Carnegie family."

The Carnegie's 2017-18 G.E.T. Together Series

Drinking About Art: The Banksy Debate | Friday, Oct 13, 2017 | 7:30pm

Tickets: $21 Adults, $18 Students, includes complimentary drink

Following the success of last year's Bob Ross Debate, The Carnegie is hosting Drinking About Art: The Banksy Debate. Two local artists will be pitted against one another to humorously debate the merits and mystique of Banksy. But that's not all. This "art lecture" is also an interactive drinking game with improv, secret words, prizes, and so much more! A pre-event happy hour with light hors d'oeuvres and late night DJ and dance party are included.

Holiday Artisan Market | Saturday, November 25, 2017 | 1-6pm

Tickets: $5 each, $15 for a family of four

The Carnegie will kick off the holiday season with a one-of-a-kind Artisan Market featuring handcrafted gifts and unique finds made by local artists. There won't be mass produced goods or the same old selection here. Attendees are invited to support independent art makers and purchase gifts you can feel good giving. While the adults shop, kids can make crafts, play games, and belt out a few Christmas tunes on the Otto M. Budig stage. In addition to the art selection there will be food and beverage offerings.

GIANTS IN THE SKY Family Day | Saturday, June 2, 2018 | 2pm

Tickets: $16

The Camp Carnegie Student All-Stars will take to the stage for some giant fun in the musical GIANTS IN THE SKY, a Beat by Beat Press production. The magical story explores the world of giants who live above the clouds. Ever since they left Earth a long time ago, the Giants made a life up above where their job is to keep the sky beautiful. But there is one curious giant who wonders what life is like on Earth, so she steals a key to the locked up "beanstalk" and embarks on an adventure down below. After the show, families are invited to join in miniature making, star designing, cloud sculpting, bubbles on the lawn, cookie decorating and more. Children and adults alike will be able to enjoy being a giant for a day.
