Flamingo Blues Entertainment proudly presents a special benefit performance of Memphis singer/songwriter Shelley Fisher's original solo musical play The Hebrew Hillbilly - Fifty Shades of Oy Vey! on Saturday, June 17th at Santa Monica Playhouse with proceeds to benefit the Playhouse.

The Hebrew Hillbilly - Fifty Shades of Oy Vey! is a musical rock n' roller coaster ride that begins in the heart of the Mississippi delta, filled with humor and pathos, served with cornbread and cleavage.

Fisher's story of a good little southern Jewish girl with big rock and roll dreams gets fueled by 15 original Memphis inspired blues, rock n 'roll and pop songs co-written with renowned hit makers, Kenny Hirsch (I've Never Been To Me, No One In The World) and Harold Payne (Bobby Womack, Snoop Dogg). The music packs an authentic Memphis punch blending rock with blues, and a lot of soul.

It's a musical journey that celebrates diversity, dreams and determination to never give up. At the core of this hilarious and poignant play is finding purpose beyond The Hollywood Sign!
