A Little Night Music was Sondheim's eighth Broadway musical and features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. Inspired by the 1955 Ingmar Bergman film Smiles of a Summer Night, it involves the romantic lives of several couples and includes the hit song "Send In the Clowns".
Set in 1900 Sweden, A Little Night Music explores the tangled web of affairs centered around actress, Desirée Armfeldt, and the men who love her: a lawyer by the name of Fredrik Egerman and the Count Carl-Magnus Malcom. When the traveling actress performs in Fredrik's town, the estranged lovers' passion rekindles. This strikes a flurry of jealousy and suspicion between Desirée; Fredrik; Fredrick's wife, Anne; Desirée's current lover, the Count; and the Count's wife, Charlotte. Both men – as well as their jealous wives – agree to join Desirée and her family for a weekend in the country at Desirée's mother's estate. With everyone in one place, infinite possibilities of new romances and second chances bring endless surprises.

With Music and New Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, Direction by Vincent Insalaco and Music Direction by the amazing Bob Bidewell, this collective group of artists brings a powerful story to the stage through song, dance, and dramady that will sear onto your Christian heart and ignite the passion to sustain you throughout the rest of Lent.
Isabella Nguyen and Bee Golleher have so much experience, and when they hit the stage, they command your attention. That also holds true for behind the scenes as well. So, whatever they choose to do, I know they will make an amazing mark in their worlds.

Adapted by Arkansas playwright Judy B. Goss, produced by Vincent Insalaco, and directed by Jamie Stewart, The Argenta Community Theater, 405 Main Street, North Little Rock, version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL delighted patrons, as evident to the numerous sold-out shows. After five years of producing this classic, ACT has decided this is the last year (for now) of this adaptation, and I know their fans will be sad to see this tradition go. After all, some actors and families of actors have graced the stage more than once to tell this tale of holiday redemption.

Telling a story where multiple ethnic groups come together to form an even bigger story can be quite the undertaking, but the Argenta Theater in North Little Rock had no problems pulling it off with the magnanomous RAGTIME, on the official opening night Friday, Feb. 21. And according to their website at argentacommunitytheater.org, the fans agree, leaving Wednesday, Feb. 26, as the only date available for tickets....as of now.
