TheatreSquared continues its landmark 2010/11 Fifth Anniversary Season with Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!), a holiday cousin to the 2009 hit, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). In this ambitious stage comedy, three actors, hired to perform Dickens' beloved yuletide classic, rebel and set out to instead perform every Christmas story in existence-from Frosty to the Grinch, Charlie Brown to George Bailey. The production is directed by T2 co-founder Morgan Hicks and features Complete Works alums Jim Goza and Jordan Haynes, as well as Sean Phillip Mabrey in his TheatreSquared debut. Performances are scheduled Friday, December 10 through Sunday, December 26, 2010 in the Studio Theater at Walton Arts Center's Nadine Baum Studios (505 W. Spring St, Fayetteville), with a special "Pay What You Can" preview performance on December 9. Tickets range from $22-$24 ($10/under 30) and can be purchased by visiting the theatre's website at theatre2.org or by calling the Box Office at 479.571.2728. The play is appropriate for audiences of all ages, and recommended for ages 8 and up.
"It takes a lot of nerve to tackle every Christmas story at once, but these three are up to the task," said Morgan Hicks, who also directed The Complete Works (2009). "Most of us manage to absorb nearly every Christmas story during the month of December, whether we want to or not. Ebenezer, Rudolph, that kid with the BB gun-you pick the icon. These guys are just a little more efficient, and a lot more hilarious, about getting the stories told."The cast for Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) includes Jim Goza and Jordan Haynes, who previously appeared in TheatreSquared's The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), as well as Sean Phillip Mabrey in his TheatreSquared debut. The creative team includes: Morgan Hicks (director), whose previous T2 credits include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), The Mystery of Irma Vep, and Fully Committed; Michael Riha (scenic design), who serves as Head of Design for the University of Arkansas and previously designed Rabbit Hole for T2; Will Eubanks (sound design), who served as assistant sound designer for The 39 Steps; Justin Ashley (lighting design), who served as assistant lighting designer for The 39 Steps; Jennifer Cozens (props and costume design); Janet McCann (stage manager); and Heath Lane (technical director).Videos
