"The Merry Widow" is always the first and most important title in the history of operetta. The world premiere took place in Vienna in 1905 and brought to the world famous Franz Lehár. This title went through a whole century of profound changes, but its success has never tarnished and is surely destined to be renewed in the third millennium. Suffice it to say that this little work is still one of the titles represented in the Theatre Seasons around the world. Paris, the beginning of the twentieth century.
