Hobby Center For The Performing Arts - Sarofim Hall:

Spamalot: May 14 - 26

Monty Python's Spamalot is an outrageous musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the classic film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." With music and lyrics by the Grammy Award winning team of Eric Idleand John Du Prez and book by Eric Idle, Spamalot makes an irreverent parody of the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table during their quest for the Holy Grail. This three-time Tony Award winning show, including the Tony Award for Best Musical, also features a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, flying cows, killer rabbits, one legless knight and several show-stopping musical numbers. With songs like "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" and "The Song That Goes Like This," the audience will eat up TUTS' presentation of Spamalot.

Flashdance - The Musical: June 4 - 16

What a feeling! Flashdance, the pop culture phenomenon and runaway international success, is now live on stage! It all started with a dream. To be bigger. To burn brighter. To dance harder. Now is the time to live the dream all over again. Based on the movie that defined a generation, Flashdance - The Musical tells the unforgettable story of Alex, a working-class girl from Pittsburgh striving to make her dreams of becoming a professional dancer a reality. Directed and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, Memphis, The Addams Family), this new musical features a score of smash hits including the Academy Award-winning title track "Flashdance - What a Feeling," "Maniac," "I Love Rock & Roll," along with 10 original songs. Experience the magic all over again. Flashdance - The Musical will leave you begging for more!

Disney's High School Musical: June 12 - 15

It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations, and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock Troy discovers that the girl he met on his ski trip, Gabriella, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical.

A Chorus Line: July 16 - 21

In an empty theatre, on a bare stage, casting for a new Broadway musical is almost complete. For 17 dancers, this audition is the chance of a lifetime. It's what they've worked for - with every drop of sweat, every hour of training, every day of their lives. It's the one opportunity to do what they've always dreamed - to have the chance to dance. Theatre Under The Stars will present A Chorus Line, the musical for everyone who's ever had a dream and put it all on the line. Winner of nine Tony Awards, including "Best Musical" and the Pulitzer Prize for drama, the singular sensation returns to the Miller Outdoor Theatre stage for TUTS' annual free summer musical.

Tickets: Seating at High School Musical, Jr.'s daytime performances is available on a first come, first serve basis. For all evening performances of High School Musical, Jr. and A Chorus Line, free tickets for the covered seats are available on the day of performance between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Miller Theatre Box Office. Any tickets remaining will be given out one hour before curtain.

For each $50 tax-deductible donation to TUTS, the organization will set aside two reserved tickets under the covered pavilion so you may enjoy the show and experience how your generosity makes the music happen.
