Clear Creek Community Theatre (CCCT) is offering a special event this Fall that is sure to keep its audiences laughing. "All in the Timing: An Evening of Comedy and Music" opens Friday, November 13th, and runs through Sunday, November 15th. Publicity Chair, Barbara Winburn, notes that CCCT periodically stages productions that are not part of its regular season in order to give its patrons an opportunity to enjoy shows that are unique or are tied to special holidays or events. "Some events, like our "Shakepeare in the Summer" series and "Valentine's Day" show have become so popular that we now offer them every year. We hope that our newest offering will have the same success."

Director Kathleen Richardson chose this particular collection of short plays because "they very funny, but in a quirky, weird, silly kind of way that I think the audience will enjoy. I'm also excited because we've added two musical numbers - these are parodies of very well-known songs from musical theater that the audience will recognize. It reminds me of something like "Saturday Night Live" - funny sketches with a little music thrown into the mix."

Richardson notes that have been some pretty interesting moments during the rehearsal process. "One of the plays, "Sure Thing", is about a couple just meeting for the first time, and the awkwardness of that first "getting to know you" conversation. The actors playing the couple are married in real life, so it's been very interesting seeing their take on the situation. Also another one of the plays is called "Words Words Words" and it's about three monkeys typing randomly in hopes of someday producing "Hamlet." It's been a lot of fun watching these actors work out how to play monkeys....and monkeys with very distinct personalities, at that."

Richardson added this is definitely a show for adults; there is a little bit of adult language, so the show would not be appropriate for small children. But adults and teens can come prepared to have a great time!

"All in the Timing: An Evening of Comedy and Music" runs November 13-15 with performances on Friday and Saturday at 8pm and the Sunday matinee at 2:30pm. Tickets are $13-15; group rates are available, and can be purchase online at www.clearcreekcommunitytheatre.com or by calling the box office at 281-335-5228. CCCT is located at 18091 Upper Bay Road in Nassau Bay.

AND Speaking of Timing... The holiday season is just around the corner, so make plans now to see "It's a Wonderful Life" December 4-20 at CCCT. This Christmas classic would make a great outing for a company group or family - check the theatre's website for updates about appearances by none other than Santa Claus before select performances.
