Manoa Valley Theatre presents a stunningly dramatic psychological drama by Peter Shaffer about a psychiatrist's efforts to treat a young boy who has developed a pathological religious fascination with horses, and the disturbingly sensational confrontation that results. It is a multi-layered psychological puzzle that is enigmatic, moving, and dazzlingly theatrical.

Guest director is Alexander Munro. Assistants to the director are Rachael Uyeno, Michelle Pitel and Allen Cole. The stage manager is Lanaly Cabalo. Costume design is by Jennifer Hart. Lighting design is by Janine Myers, sound design is by Jason Taglianetti, set design is by M.J. Matsushita, scenic artistry is by Wika Pu'uohau, video design is by Brian Shevelenko, hair and makeup design is by Lisa Ponce de Leon and props design is by Sara Ward. Performing in the show are Haley Adamic, Jeff Brackett, David Farmer, Phill Foster, Nadia Harmsen, Mathias Mass, Melinda Maltby, Dwight Martin, Matthew Mazzella and Therese Olival.

The production will run May 19 - June 5. Show times are Wed. 7:30p.m., Thur. 7:30 p.m., Fri. 8 p.m., Sat. 8 p.m., and Sun. 4 p.m. Tickets are $39. Seniors and military are admitted for $34, youth 25 years old and under for $20. Call 988-6131 or purchase tickets online at manoavalleytheatre.com. Tickets are also available at all military ticket outlets. The play is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes in length and is performed in two acts with one intermission. Minimum age is 16 years old. All patrons must occupy a seat. There is no lap seating. Note: contains adult language and brief nudity.
