Breakdown
DANYA PRUITT / DANIEL
Mid 20s to mid 30s, Character is initially beautiful female, but later a male. Must have exceptional vocal and physical range to realistically project both genders… the ability to transform believably from Female To Male vocally and physically is a must. Character is capable of great emotion and able to deceive the ones closest to her. An astute lawyer with finesse in the courtroom, but a stutterer when emotionally exposed and cornered.
ADDISON WATTS
Female, Mid 20s to mid 30s. A Romantic Novelist, Addison is desperate for acceptance and love. Will fight for what she wants from Danya but eventually loves Danya enough to let her go. She has much love to give and she will give it all to Danya, until that’s not possible any more. She’s a fixer, a communicator, a passionate and giving partner, demanding and driven. Lesbian, beautiful and kind.
DR. GERARD
Female, 40s, a surgeon who is an expert in gender reassignment. Attractive and professional. Direct, pulls no punches. Best in her field -- a Michelangelo with surgical transformation. Confident, suave and very smart with a sense of dry humor and wit.
VICTORIA PRUITT
Female 50s to 60s, Danya's mother. Old fashioned, set in her course until Danya comes clean with her true and complete need to be her son. A widow. Controlling but a huge heart, stylish but in a simple unadorned way. A sense of humor and bunch of charm help define her.
