Housing provided for out of town actors cast.

Preparation
Prepare one uptempo and one ballad 16-32 measures each. Performers may be asked to dance/move at callbacks as needed.

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, HELLO DOLLY, SOUTH PACIFIC, CURTAINS, I LOVE A PIANO

FORUM

Gymnasia: (Greek for "Athletic", with the connotation of nakedness) A courtesan from the house of Lycus with whom Pseudolus falls in love.

Tintinabula: (Latin for "Bells") A jingling, bell-wearing courtesan in the house of Lycus.

Vibrata: (Latin for "Vibrant") A wild, vibrant courtesan in the house of Lycus.

Geminae: (Latin for "Twins") Twin courtesans in the house of Lycus.

Panacea: (Greek for "Cure All") A courtesan in the house of Lycus. A face that can hold a thousand promises, and a body that stands behind each promise.

Proteans: Choristers who play multiple roles (slaves, citizens, soldiers, and eunuchs). They accompany Pseudolus in "Comedy Tonight". On Broadway, three people played all of these roles.

ERNESTINA MONEY - An eccentric-looking girl in need of Dolly's matchmaker services. Rudolf Reisenweiber - Maitre d' of the Harmonia Gardens restaurant.

Male ensemble of seamen and Female ensemble of nurses. There are also additional ensemble roles of south pacific Tonkenese natives.

Lieutenant Frank Cioffi: The central character, a Local Boston detective who is also a musical theatre aficionado. Aside from being exceptionally good at his job, he has also aspired to be a musical theatre performer his entire life. He falls in love with Niki.

Georgia Hendricks: Female half of songwriting team. Ends up taking on the leading lady role of the show-within-the-show.

Carmen Bernstein: The show's brassy producer, unhappily married to Sidney and Bambi's estranged mother.

Aaron Fox: The composer of the show-within-the-show. His songwriting partner, Georgia, is also his wife from whom he's separated

Niki Harris: Pretty, naïve ingénue. Niki is playing a supporting role and is Jessica Cranshaw's understudy in the show-within-the-show during its Boston tryout. She is eager to make her Broadway debut. She meets and falls in love with Detective Frank Cioffi, who is investigating a murder at the theatre.

Christopher Belling: English director.

Bambi Bernét: Performer in the chorus and daughter of Carmen, the lead producer. Hungry to work her way up to leading performer; she has a contentious relationship with her mother, who insists on calling her by her real name, Elaine (Bambi is a stage name.)

Bobby Pepper: The choreographer and male star of the show within the show, he is Aaron's charming rival and the current boyfriend of Georgia.

Daryl Grady: A Theatre critic for the local Boston newspaper, he enjoys using the power he has to make or break shows during their out-of-town tryouts.

Sidney Bernstein: The co-producer of an out of town flop. Sidney is tough and self-serving.

Johnny Harmon: The Stage Manager of the show-within-the-show. Johnny is gruff but lovable. He keeps the company in line and on their toes throughout the rehearsal process.

Oscar Shapiro: The general manager and sole investor. An agreeable if slightly gruff man. He is always looking for any angle to find money.

Randy Dexter: One of the stars of the show within the show.

Harv Fremont: One of the stars of the show within the show, Randy's sidekick.
Detective O'Farrell: Cioffi's associate from the Boston Police Department, assists in the investigation.

Jessica Cranshaw: Fading Hollywood star. A diva, who has no right to be one, she is a terrible singer and actress who stars in the show within a show and is murdered on its opening night.

Requires 3 Female and 3 male triple-threat performers. While the cast retains their identities and names throughout the show, they play different characters in different time periods.
