Preparation
Please prepare a 2-minute comedic, contemporary monologue. If you have an original piece please use it, but that is not required.

Audition Location: in an old Catholic School – Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Attached parking lot is for clergy and church administration only. On-street parking is free however and is plentiful during the day.

Breakdown

Show Synopsis / Character Breakdown:
This Is the Week That Is 2014 is 1812’s annual political humor show. The piece is created by the ensemble and includes music. It is topical and the script will change nightly to respond to current events so all ensemble members must have strong improvisational skills. Writing experience is a plus.

Seeking:

Ensemble Member/Musician – Male or female. 20s-50s. Must play piano very well and be able to accompany and arrange music and harmonies for an ensemble of five. This actor/musician will also play small roles in the show as determined through the writing process.

Ensemble Member, Male or Female: Plays multiple roles, mostly ages 30 – 60, including various reporters and government figures as determined through the writing process. This actor will join an existing ensemble.
