Equity actor for one available role:
ACTOR ONE
Male. 30-50: Any ethnicity. The self appointed star and leader of a small, comedic, three man acting troupe. A bit of a diva, Actor One enjoys the thrilling highs of performance as readily as he succumbs to the lows of depression and has a slightly antagonistic relationship with his cohorts. He is cast in multiple roles including a Barrymore (the suspicious butler), Stapleton (the snide, evil villain), Cecille (a lusty, Latin beauty), Mrs. Barrymore (a weepy house servant), a country Yokel and the Great Detective himself, Sherlock Holmes.
Must possess split second comedic timing, a proficiency with English accents, and an ability to accomplish quick changes with ease. Clown training a plus.
It is important to note this is an unconventional retelling of the classic tale and the actor need not look like traditional versions of Holmes.

Rehearsals start April 3rd in NYC (Studio 353) DAYTIMES . Theate is located in Armonk N.Y. Metro North train passes provide or car expenses reimbursed. Runs three weekends (nine shows) April 28th through May 13th.

This is a madcap farce based on the classic Sherlock Holmes mystery by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
