TWELVE ANGRY MEN by Reginald Rose 1st reh: 10/9/12. Runs 10/18/12 – 11/4/12. All roles available.
JUROR 1- Male. Non-confrontational, wants to be as fair as possible.
JUROR 2- Male. The most timid of the group, easily persuaded by the opinions of others.
JUROR 3- Male. Quick to lose his temper, infuriated when others disagree with his opinions, believes the defendant is absolutely guilty.
JUROR 4- Male. A logical stock-broker who urges fellow jurors to avoid emotional arguments.
JUROR 5- Male. A young man nervous about expressing his opinion, especially in front of the elder members of the group. He grew up in the slums.
JUROR 6- Male. An honest but dull-witted man, slow to see the good in others.
JUROR 7- Male. A slick and obnoxious salesman, admits he would have done anything to miss jury duty.
JUROR 8- Male. He is devoted to justice. He is sympathetic toward the 19-year-old defendant. Eventually he persuades the other jurors to acquit the defendant.
JUROR 9- Male. A mild, gentle old man, defeated by life and waiting to die. Despite this bleak description, he is the first to agree with Juror 8.
JUROR 10- Male. The most abhorrent member of the group. He is openly bitter and prejudice.
JUROR 11- Male. A refugee from Europe who has witnessed great injustices. He is intent on administering justice.
JUROR 12- Male. He is an arrogant and impatient advertising executive. He is anxious for the trail to be over so that he can get back to his career and his social life.
GUARD- Male.
JUDGE- Male.
