Actors will read from sides at the audition. Sides from the script will be sent with confirmation, as well as be available at the audition for walk-ins.

Please bring TWO copies of your most current stapled-together picture and resume. NO PAPER CLIPS, PLEASE.

Breakdown

SYNOPSIS:
The final part of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley’s “Doubt” trilogy, this dramatic comedy follows 2005’s Doubt: A Parable and 2006’s Defiance. When the mortgage crisis forces a Bronx Borough President to confront an unorthodox minister, the?question they face is one common to us all: What is the relationship between spiritual experience and social action?

**The roles of TOM RAIDNEBERG, and JESSIE CORTEZ have been precast.**

SEEKING:

Ethan Goldklang
Male, “a threadbare Jewish accountant in his 60s”; a bit of a Borscht Belt comedian despite his circumstances. In questionable health. Actor must be very comfortable with New York dialect.

Donaldo Calderon
Male, Bronx borough president and a quintessential politician, half-Italian, half-Puerto Rican, in his 40s. Actor must be very comfortable with New York dialect.

Reed Van Druyten
Male, early to mid 40s, probably from an old New York family, a bank officer whose life has fallen apart; actor must be comfortable with playing physical disabilities: As a result of being shot in the face, Van Druyten’s face is partially paralyzed and he has a tic in his speech.

Chester Kimmich
Male, mid 30s-mid 50s, African-American, a preacher who has lost his faith; southern dialect; a man of great emotional depth.
