Breakdown
For Roger Bean's ROUTE 66, the cast is made up of male singer and musicians. The songs are a great selection of 50's and 60's rock pop standards and "novelty" songs mixed in with country, western and folk. Musicians who sing lead and backup vocals are a plus. It is about finding the right combination of talent that can work together as a band on this road trip of songs. And havin' a few good moves couldn't hurt either! This all makes for a great time with a bunch of real guys who work as attendants at a Texaco Service Station circa 1955 who have a way with a song about their hankerin' for the ladies and hittin' the road down Route 66 from Chicago to LA.
