Breakdown

Seeking Equity and non-Equity actors for various roles below, to play ages 20-50s.

CHIEF BROMDEN
son of the chief of the Columbia Indians and a white woman. Ideal casting is: strong Native American look, mid-30s to early 50s, 6'2+, 200lbs+ (a big man).

AIDE WARREN
staff- works for Nurse Ratched to maintain the ward. Comedic ability.

AIDE WILLIAMS
staff- works for Nurse Ratched to maintain the ward. Comedic ability.

NURSE RATCHED
staff – Runs the ward. Authoritative and insistent on order.

NURSE FLINN
staff- A perpetually frightened and attractive young nurse. Deeply religious.

DALE HARDING
a patient - A college-educated and effeminate man, who is psychologically castrated. An Acute patient, one who has voluntarily committed himself to the hospital.

RUCKLY
A patient who was once an Acute. Excessive electroshock therapy transformed him into a Chronic. In the daytime, he is nailed to the wall. He frequently urinates on himself.

BILLY BIBBIT
a patient - A 31-year-old man dominated by his mother to the extent that he is still unmarried and a virgin. Bibbit is also a voluntarily committed Acute, despite the fact that his wrists reveal a previous suicide attempt.

SCANLON
a patient - The only Acute besides McMurphy who was involuntarily committed to the hospital. Scanlon has fantasies of blowing things up.

CHESWICK
a patient - One of the Acutes, who is always looking for someone to back up his ideas.

MARTINI
a patient- A delusional man, who, nonetheless, learns to laugh at himself and the world around him.

DR. SPIVEY
staff- The doctor who works at the ward. He takes almost all of his cues from Nurse Ratched.

AIDE TURKLE
staff - A night watchman who smokes marijuana. McMurphy bribes him to help arrange the party.

CANDY STARR
A prostitute from Portland with a heart of gold. She is physically attractive and passive, and relieves Billy Bibbit of his virginity.

SANDRA
Candy's older and less-physically attractive friend; comes with her to the party on the ward.
