MONSTERS OF THE AMERICAN CINEMA
REMY – Black Gay Man late 30s-early 40s. Great storyteller as there are direct address monologues,
sense of humor, he is a man who is comfortable with himself and his on-going activism in a small
California town. After the death of his husband, Remy is raising his White cis 16-year-old stepson. An
enormous capacity for love and finding his way as a role model. Encyclopedic knowledge of American
monster films.
PUP– White, cis, teenager (16). On the brink of manhood. Half scared boy with nightmares, half
wanting to assert himself as a grown-up. Good storyteller as there are direct address monologues.
Great sense of humor. Encyclopedic knowledge of American monster films.
