Mary Bennet
20. Finally coming in to her own, she is no longer the plain, boring girl she once was. She has a fire in her now. She is intelligent, curious, and lively, but her family only sees her as a future spinster. She does not suffer fools. She wants to live.

Arthur de Bourgh

Elizabeth Darcy
22 and married to Darcy. Confident, charming, and witty. She makes a fun and surprising lady of the house. She is best friends with her sister Jane.

Fitzwilliam Darcy
30. A loving, generous, and smart (if slightly stiff) husband. He is quiet and vigilant and thus sees what others often miss. He knows what being lovelorn is like.

Jane Bingley
24 and married to Bingley. She is 7 months pregnant with her first child and is sweet and optimistic as ever. The kindest heart in the house.

Charles Bingley
25. Gracious, happy, and ever focused on the love of his life, Jane. A good friend and always ready with a smile.

Lydia Wickham
17. Flirtatious, braggadocios and selfish. Her marriage to Mr Wickham is a sham but she will not admit this. She also won’t admit that she desperately needs the love of her family.

Anne de Bourgh
20’s. Only daughter of the late Lady Catherine de Bourgh. Lived in her mother’s very large shadow, never having to ask for anything or speak for herself, her entire life. Judgemental and impatient, just like her mother.

NOTE: Characters are high school age, however actors 18+ will be cast

M & L
twin sisters. Asian.
- M is trying to get into Harvard and doesn’t want anyone or anything to stand in her way. She is encouraged by her twin sister, L, to do horrible things to pave her path. Although M initially is resistant to some of L’s more sinister tactics, she eventually betrays her own sister, only for her fate to end poorly and L get the last laugh.
- L is calculating and completely loyal to M throughout, believing that M’s success is her success as well.

BF
M’s boyfriend. Black. He and M have a rocky relationship through much of the play, and he is discovered to be one of the sources of her misery later on, as someone who gets accepted to the school ahead of her.

D
male. Looks (really) white. 1/16 Native American. A slightly naïve, slightly pathetic boy who elicits M’s anger for using his fraction of Native American blood and subsequent tribal membership to get into Harvard. He is allergic to everything and overall quite frail, although he has adapted a lifestyle of bravery. He is gullible and falls for M’s advances which ultimately lead to his death.

Dirty Girl
aka Caroline aka That Weird Girl in High School You Know The One.
White. Stand in for Shakespeare’s witches. She is not always understood by other characters in the play and uses double speak and her appearance to lead them astray. She is a total mystery.

D’s Brother
(doubles with D), sickly, carries around an oxygen tank.

Preppy Girl
(doubles with DIRTY GIRL)

GUARDS AT THE TAJ
by Rajiv Joseph
Director: Jasson Minadakis

Humayun
a guard of the Taj Mahal as it is under construction (along with Babur), he takes his job very seriously and values his position and rank very highly. Humayun ultimately is left with the decision of whether or not to betray his best friend and closest colleague, Babur, in his plot against the emperor. Calculating, logical, left brain.

Babur
a guard of the Taj Mahal as it is under construction (along with Humayun), he pushes the boundaries of what he is supposed to do in order to enjoy his life more. He does not follow the same strict code as Humayun which causes him to both break the rules as a guard of the Taj Mahal and turn against the emperor after being given a truly horrible task. Emotional, righteous, right brain.

Jo
20s, African American, Casey’s wife who balances her supportive nature with realism regarding their finances. She is kept in the dark for most of the show regarding Casey’s alternate persona, and has a very mixed reaction upon making the discovery.

Miss Tracy Mills
40s/50s, a wise and wise-cracking older drag queen who brings her show to an old Florida panhandle bar to keep it alive and who provides guidance for Casey and Rexy. She is responsible for turning Casey into Georgia McBride.
