Equity Ensemble Dancers, men and women, proficient in contemporary dance. To play 20s-30s. For replacements in the currently running Broadway production.

Preparation
Be prepared to dance in sneakers or jazz shoes. Wear form-fitting clothing.

Bring a photo/resume stapled together. There will be no singing at this call.

FEMALE DANCER
Female, to play 20s, any ethnicity. Proficient in contemporary dance. Attractive. Strong singer and actor. To play various ensemble roles and understudy the principal roles of ANNE (Kate’s girlfriend, and then wife, and in many ways her perfect counterpart. Logical, frank, calm, unflappable, with a more grounded energy, and a more practical nature, but a heart just as big as her lover’s. Quite at home in her body and in touch with her sexuality) and ELENA (Ambitious, enthusiastic, fresh-faced but familiar with the ups and downs of life. Fresh from receiving her MA in urban studies, becomes Elizabeth’s protégé). ENSEMBLE

MALE DANCER
Male, to play 30s, any ethnicity. Proficient in contemporary dance. Attractive. Strong singer and actor. To play various ensemble roles and understudy the principal role of LUCAS (An activist, blogger, urban farmer, homesteader, barista, and citizen of the world. Intelligent and ideological, well-read and well-spoken, dedicated to fighting injustice and dismissive of normative values, be they political or personal. Sexually flexible). ENSEMBLE

FEMALE SWING
Female, to play 20s, any ethnicity. Proficient in contemporary dance. Attractive. Strong singer and actor. To understudy various ensemble roles and the principal role of ELENA (See above). ENSEMBLE

MALE SWING
Male, to play 20s – 30s, any ethnicity. Proficient in contemporary dance. Attractive. Strong singer and actor. To understudy various ensemble roles and the principal role of DAVID (Lucas’ boyfriend. Charming but not glib, handsome but not unattainable, smart but without the need to show it. A successful surgeon who’s ready to meet the right man, settle down, and start a family, he’s got fairly traditional values—but doesn’t require them in a mate). ENSEMBLE
