Please prepare a brief contemporary monologue under 2 minutes (no TV/ Film). Bring picture and resume.

BREAKDOWN

ABASIAMA UFOT:
60’s, female. Born in Nigeria. A splay-footed, gap-toothed woman who is slim and slight in appearance. Thinner Ibibio accent. Fluent in both Ibibio and English. Abasiama is well put together and presents a strong face to the world and to both of her daughters, Iniabasi and Adiagha.

INIABASI EKPEYOUNG:
36, female, born in America and raised in Nigeria. A bow-legged, gap-toothed woman. Thicker Ibibio accent. Fluent in both Ibibio and English. Sweet in nature, both excited and overwhelmed to be in America.

ADIAGHA UFOT:
30, female, African-American. A splay-footed, gap-toothed woman who is voluptuous and full-figured in body-type. Has an amalgamated accent (Central Massachusetts and Ibibio). She is fluent in English, hears Ibibio but has limited speaking capacity. Fiercely protective of her mother.
