If auditioning for the play, please prepare a brief monologue, or a one minute monologue and 16 bars of a song

SHOUT!

Seeking:

BLUE GIRL:
25-30, A blue-blooded fashion model with a high soprano belt --low Bb to high C. Blue is sophisticated, poised, cool, and aloof. Needs to do standard British dialect.

GREEN GIRL:
30-35, Mezzo with a Shirley Bassey like belt. She is a good time girl. Blousy, middle-class and zany, she is a bit frayed at the edges, and hopelessly single. A comedian is needed. Cockney accent required.

ORANGE GIRL:
35-40, Soprano with belt low Bb to high Bb. The mother of the group, Orange is domestic and maternal. Wise, soulful and mature, she slowly asserting her new-found independence. British standard dialect.

RED GIRL:
20-27, Soprano with belt --low Bb to high C. The baby of the group, Red is quirky, enthusiastic, and naive. A hopeless romantic, she is insecure about her looks and possibly a bit overweight. Standard British dialect required.

YELLOW GIRL:
25-30, Alto with big rock diva belt. F below mid C to belt Eb. Yellow is an uninhibited and brash American. She is a ray of sunshine with a surprising vulnerability.

RENO SWEENEY:
30 – 40. Reno Sweeney is a well-known New York night club singer and former evangelist. Mezzo/Belter. Confident, persuasive, funny and comfortable with herself physically. Consummate performer/showstopper. Dances and taps very well.

BILLY CROCKER:
25 – 30. Tenor. Charming, idealistic, attractive, charismatic, and confident. Great comedic timing. Dances well

SIR EVELYN OAKLEY
30 - 45: Hope's aristocratic fiance. Believable upper-crust English accent required. Earnest, charming, energetic, attractive and gullible. Loves everything American. Must move well.

MOONFACE MARTIN:
Public enemy #13, traveling disguised as a reverend. Uncomplicated, lovable gangster. Wily and quick-witted and loyal to his friends. Must move well.

GOMEZ ADDAMS:
35 – 50. Patriarch of the Addams Family, Suave, strong comic timing, moves well, loving husband, extremely passionate, but just a bit traditional. Strong baritone and a solid Spanish accent.

MORTICIA ADDAMS:
35 – 45. Sensual, macabre, strong comedic timing, mezzo/alto, passionate about her family. Moves very well.

FESTER ADDAMS:
35 – 50. Narrator of the show, strong comedic timing, eerie, quirky, earnest, must move well. Baritenor

ALICE BEINEKE:
Straight-laced, maternal, sexually repressed and fed up with it. Must move well. Soprano with fierce belt and strong comedic timing.

Robin Levine, Director/Choreographer

Seeking:

TOMMY:
20-35. Deaf, dumb and blind after childhood trauma, then rises to fame as a cult-hero. Strong rock tenor. Db3 to B4.

CAPTAIN WALKER:
30-40, Tommy's military father who has lingering guilt for murdering his wife's lover. Standard British accent required. Strong tenor required

MRS. WALKER:
30-40. Weary, middle-class woman, frustrated from trying to find a cure for Tommy. Mezzo with strong high belt. G3 to D6.

UNCLE ERNIE:
40-50. Lecherous, drunken bachelor, self-interested, dark secrets. Baritenor. G2-Bb4.

INTO THE WOODS
Mark Hardy, Director/Choreographer
1st reh: 7/21. Runs: 8/2 - 8/14

Seeking:

BAKER:
35-45. Affable, earnest yet insecure. A simple man, he wants to please everyone, but stubborn in that he fights his own battles alone. Baritenor.

THE WITCH:
30-45. Very attractive. Strong comedic timing. Sarcastic, obsessive and passionate. She is aggressively possessive. Soprano/Strong Belt.

BAKER'S WIFE:
30-40. Determined and loyal to her husband. Leads a simple life, but deep down wishes for adventure. Mezzo.

MYSTERIOUS MAN/NARRATOR:
35-55. Mysterious man is mischievous, observant and good-natured. Narrator is intellectual, pleasant story teller. Illustrator of lessons learned. Baritone.

JACK'S MOTHER:
40-50. Wary protective, strong-willed and bold. Strong comedic timing required. Soprano.

WOLF/PRINCE
25-35. Baritenor. Strong comedic timing. Masculine and vain. Must possess sinister quality as would and move very well.

Seeking:

LONNY:
25 – 35. The narrator of the piece-charming, funny, mischievous, welcoming, vibrant personality, someone who would be fun to spend one crazy night with. Strong and honest with comedic timing/improv skills and strong rock vocals.

DENNIS DUPREE:
Classic stoner type guy, former rocker- who runs the famous Bourbon Room club. Torn about whether he should sell the club to Hertz, a German businessman. Very strong comedic timing needed. A laid back, easy going dude. Baritone rock vocals.

HERTZ:
An older German male. Uptight, cold, intimidating businessman trying to buy up the Sunset Strip to develop it. The “villain” of the piece. Strong comedic timing and baritone vocals, German accent.

STACEE JAXX:
A charismatic rock star. Decided to leave his successful hair/metal-rock band to try it solo. Self important, confident and intriguing in all the wrong ways, the ultimate bad boy; he is all about rock-n-roll and its benefits. Great strong comedic timing and strong rock tenor voice.

JUSTICE:
African American woman, 35-50. Strong presence, an easy sensuality about her, once a performer, she now operates a gentlemen’s club where Sherrie winds up working. Maternal with soulful vocals and belt.

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
Trent Blanton, Director
1st reh: 8/18. Runs: 8/30 - 9/4

Seeking:

ATTICUS FINCH:
40-50. Quietly intelligent, courageous, passionate and idealistic. Widower who is strongly empathetic, dry sense of humor. Comfortable with legalese. Southern accent required.

TOM ROBINSON:
25-35, African American man, athletic. Tom is strong, kind and empathetic. Humble and dignified, he suffers the worst indignities. Must be able to appear that one arm is disabled. Southern accent required.

BOB EWELL:
40 – 55. Patriarch, white trash and alcoholic. Explosive and abusive. Uneducated, southern accent required.

HECK TATE:
35- 50. Atticus' best friend. Sheriff of the town and a decent man. Caring, practical and no-nonsense. Heck is susceptible to the racism of the period, but undergoes a change.

CALPURNIA:
40 -55. African-American woman. Finch's housekeeper.. She is the closest thing to a mother for Scout and Jem. Stern disciplinarian, with warm and compassionate qualities.
