There is an ensemble of 3 men and 3 women that play various characters throughout the play. Seeking:
MALE DANCERS: Athletic, strong, masculine. Needs to have strong ballet and jazz technique. Country dance specialties a plus.
PREPARATION
MEN: Jazz shoes/ Jazz sneakers. Please bring knee pads as well.
You may be asked to sing. Please prepare Country music that shows voice and range. Bring sheet music. Pianist provided. Bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

NOTE: FANCY WAS MY NAME IS A NEW MUSCIAL CHRONICLING THE RISE OF A BACKWOODS SOUTHERN GIRL INTO A MAJOR COUNTRY STAR. THE PLAY TAKES PLACE IN BOGOSLUSA, LOUISIANA AND IN NASHVILLE. THE ACTION TAKES PLACE FROM 1960 THROUGH 1976.
THE SCORE INCLUDES FAMOUS COUNTRY SONGS SUCH AS “REDNECK WOMEN,” “FRIENDS IN LOW PLACES,” “BEFORE HE CHEATS,” AND “HIT THE ROAD, JACK.”
ECC Procedures are in effect for this audition.
