Please share two contrasting speeches and a song. One monologue should be
Shakespeare. For the second monologue a British dialect is encouraged but not required. Actor-musicians who play instruments are encouraged to prepare a brief piece for any instrument on which they are stage proficient. We are particularly interested in seeing you accompany yourself while singing. When preparing for your audition, please take into consideration your appointment time. All material should fit within the 3-minute time period. Please provide a headshot and resume.

Door Shakespeare performs outdoors on a wooden stage abutting Lake Michigan in Björklunden, Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. The company is invested in safety and accessibility for all performers, and, with that, wants everyone to know workdays will involve outdoor rehearsal and performance in fluctuating temperature and weather conditions.

The 2024 summer season will feature William Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET and Jane Austen’s EMMA, adapted by Joseph Hanreddy. The two shows play in rotating repertory from July 3 to August 17, 2024, in the Garden at Björklunden in Door County, Wisconsin.
CASTING NOTE: An ensemble of 12 actors will play all roles. Specific tracks will reflect the skills and needs of the ensemble cast in both productions.
