We seek actors who are comfortable trying things without knowing why.”

In our 2016 / 2017 season we continue our two-year exploration of Eugene O’Neill program. Last season we began work on MOURNING BECOMES ELECTRA, O’Neill’s great trilogy, with our production of DRUNKEN WITH WHAT at Abrons Arts Center in February 2016. MOURNING is unusually large, comprising three complete plays and many hours on stage, so we are working in phases to create ample time for artistic development. DRUNKEN was our first pass at O’Neill’s epic play; with DURNED QUEER in December 2016 we will take a second look at the text and present a workshop version of selected scene. In Spring 2017 we will return to the text in its entirety, presenting a marathon production of the entire work at Abrons Arts Center for four weeks in May 2017.
