SEEKING IMMEDIATELY:

[WILLIE]: late-20s, athletic build. Our hero, smart as a whip with a keen business acumen. Takes over the family shop with wife Korie and morphs it into a multinational juggernaut. The “responsible” son (third of four kids) doomed to play the straight man while the rest of the family cracks wise – often at his expense. Nonetheless, Willie possesses a quick wit and patient hand. Solid comic instincts and fantastic pop tenor to B-flat. Should move well.

[KORIE]: late-20s, statuesque, former cheerleader type. Korie grew up “on the right and side of the tracks” in an upscale Louisiana home, met Willie at summer camp, and immediately fell for his unrefined charms. They married straight out of high school, just as Korie shipped off to college, where she earned a degree in business administration. A real beauty-and-brains situation here. Quick wit, great mother. Fantastic pop belt to E. Should move well.

[MISS KAY]: 50s, plump. Married to Phil since she was 16 years of age – about as country and gentle as a woman can get, but with an endless well of inner strength, wry sense of humor, and penchant for the naughty double entendre. The great difficulty she faced early in her marriage fills her with power and pride, not sorrow. Soulful country belt to D. Should move well.

[UNCLE SI]: Phil’s younger brother, 40s, skinny, missing a few teeth. A court jester in camouflage – master of hyperbole, expert wielder of the malapropism, and unlikely sex object. Veteran of three tours of Viet Nam and devoted husband (although his wife never appears in the show). Baritone. Ridiculous comic chops.

[PHIL ROBERTSON]: 50s, tall, sturdy. The Robertson paterfamilias. While his backwoods, long-bearded looks suggest an ignorant bumpkin, Phil is in fact a former football star and genius inventor, whose revolutionary Duck Commander duck call made him a millionaire. A reformed alcoholic and hellion who is now a Bible-thumping preacher man, Phil’s traditional beliefs keep bumping up against modern society in ways that confound and frustrate him – although he maintains a dark sense of humor and never, ever loses his temper. Baritone to A. Should move well.

All roles will be understudied.
