Preparation
Please sing a short cut of a song in the style of the show (gospel, jazz, r&b, funk, soul, calyso and soft rock). Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Bring picture and resume.

The Musicals in Mufti Series presents book-in-hand, staged concerts of rarely produced musicals. This is a two-week commitment.


DON’T BOTHER ME, I CAN'T COPE premiered on Broadway on April 19, 1972 and ran for over two years, receiving 4 Tony nominations. The show is a musical revue focusing on the African-American experience, with music that is a mixture of gospel, jazz, r&b, funk, soul, calypso and soft rock.
