Equity actors and actor/singers for various principal roles in the 2015-16 season shows.

Preparation
Prepare EITHER:
1) A short song in a style from one of the shows from the season; OR
2) A short contemporary monologue; OR
3) A one-minute monologue and 16 bars of a song.
If singing, bring sheet music; accompanist provided.
Bring Headshot and resume stapled together.

2015-16 SEASON:
FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
Tee Scatuorchio, Director
First rehearsal 9/14/15, Opens 9/26/15, Closes 10/4/15
seeking:
Tevye, a likeable, hard-working, pious man who sees the positive side of life. Strong patriarch but gentle father.
Golde, Tevye's sharp-tongued wife.
Tzeitel, Tevye's oldest daughter (age 19). Falls in love with childhood friend Motel, who is poor.
Hodel, Tevye's second daughter (age 17). Intelligent and spirited. Falls in love with Perchik and moes to Siberia with him.
Chava, Tevye's third daughter (age 15). A shy book lover, who falls in love with Fyedka.
Perchik, a scholar and Bolshevik revolutionary who comes to Anatevka and falls in love with Hodel. He leaves for Kiev and is exiled to Siberia.
Motel, a poor but hardworking tailor who loves, and later marries, Tzeitel.
Fyedka, a young Christian man. He shares Chava's passion for reading and is outraged by the Russians' treatment of the Jews.

seeking:
Norman Thayer, in his twilight years, a cynical curmudgeon who is going senile and whose health is failing as he approaches is his 80th birthday.
Ethel Thayer, Norman's wife, a spritely, active woman who loves her husband completely and who is in love with simply being alive. She is caregiver, sweetheart, and friend to Norman.
Chelsea, Norman and Ethel's only daughter. Attractive, divorced, and in her forties, Chelsea is still dealing with the lack of closeness between her and Norman.
Bill Ray, Chelsea's fiance. Not an outdoors type, but is trying to make a good impression on Chelsea's parents.

seeking:
Roger Davis, A struggling musician and former drug addict. He is reminiscent of Kurt Cobain. Roommates with Mark in the loft and battles with being HIV-positive.
Mark Cohen, Filmmaker and video artist. Knee deep in his own soul-searching, Mark is the typical young artist. He and Roger are roommates in the loft. A bit of a nerd.
Tom Collins, A computer genius and liberal professor. He is a nurturer with a smooth and relaxed disposition. Used to be a roommate in the loft and is HIV-positive.
Angel Shunard, The eccentric HIV-positive street drummer. A drag queen with an incredible gift of dance and a magnetic personality.
Mimi Rogers,An HIV-positive stripper with drug addictions. Slender and sickly, she conceals it all at her job in the local strip club. She lives in the same building as the loft.
Maureen Johnson, An unpredictably zany performance artist. Maureen oozes sexuality and used to live in the loft. She has recently dumped Mark for Joanne.
Joanne Jefferson, A public interest lawyer and headstrong lesbian. She is smart and purposeful in all her decisions. Carries on a tumultuous relationship with Maureen.

seeking:
King Arthur, The King of England, who sets out on a quest to form the Knights of the Round Table and find the Holy Grail. Great humor. Good singer.
Sir Lancelot, A Knight of the Round Table. He is fearless to a bloody fault but through a twist of fate discovers his softer side. This actor MUST be great with character voices and accents, as he also plays THE FRENCH TAUNTER, an arrogant, condescending, over-the-top Frenchman; the KNIGHT OF NI, an absurd, cartoonish leader of a peculiar group of Knights; and TIM THE ENCHANTER, a ghostly being with a Scottish accent.
Sir Robin, A Knight of the Round Table. Ironically called Sir Robin the Brave, though he couldn't be more cowardly. Joins the Knights for the singing and dancing. Also plays GUARD 1 and BROTHER MAYNARD, a long-winded monk. A good mover.
Sir Galahad, A Knight of the Round Table. Begins as Dennis, a lower class mud gatherer who becomes knighted and transforms into the dashing Sir Galahad. Also plays PRINCE HERBERT'S FATHER, a wealthy, brutish Yorkshireman at odds with his sensitive son; and THE BLACK KNIGHT, who is always ready to duel despite multiple injuries. Strong bari-tenor singing required.
Lady of the Lake, The King of England, who sets out on a quest to form the Knights of the Round Table and find the Holy Grail. Great humor. Good singer.
