All roles are open. There will be three AEA contracts available for the ensemble.

Preparation
Please prepare a contemporary musical theatre song. The score will be provided.

Breakdown

BELLE- A vibrant, intelligent girl with beauty, who wants more out of life than an ordinary existance. She is optimistic, fun-loving, caring and eager to experience life. (Stage age: 20-30) Range: E3-F5

BEAST-A Prince transformed into a terrifying beast for his lack of compassion. He is hot-tempered and commanding, but has a warm, loving heart burried far beneath his gruff exterior. (Stage age: 20-30) Range: A2-F4

GASTON-The egotistical, ultra-masculine villain determined to marry Belle. He is manipulative yet charming and earnest. (Stage age: 20-30) Range: A2-E4

LEFOU-Gaston's bumbling sidekick. He is loyal, energetic and optimistic, but not quite the brightest guy. (Stage age: 20-30) Range: B2-F#4

LUMIERE-A suave, debonair enchanted candelabra. He is loyal and steadfast servant. (Stage age: 30+) Range: F#2-F#4

COGSWORTH-A tightly-wound, enchanted mantel clock and th ehead of th eBeast's household. He is uptight, strict and punctual but also hard-working, faithful and thorough. (Stage age: 30+) Range: A2-E4

BABETTE-A saucy, enchanted feather-duster and the object of Lumiere's affections. She is playful, gorgeous, seductive French maid. (Stage age: 20-40) Range C4-F5

MRS. POTTS-A warm-hearted, meternal enchanted teapot. She is loyal, caring and playful. (Stage age: 40+) Range: F#3-G5

CHIP-An enchanted teacup and Mrs. Pott's darling little boy. He is innocent, playful and bright-eyed (Stage age: 8-11) Range: A3-F5

MAURICE-Belle's loving, eccentric father. A child at heart and inventor in his own world. (Stage age: 45+) Range: Bb2-Db4

MADAME DE LA GRANDE BOUCHE-A former opera diva-turned-enchanted wardrobe. She has a caring, refined, larger than life personality. (Stage age: 30+) Range: C#4-D5

THREE SILLY GIRLS-The silly girls are three pretty young maids who swoon over Gaston. They are featured dancers who double as enchanted objects. (Stage age 20-30)

ENSEMBLE (TOWNSPEOPLE - THE ENCHANTED OBJECTS) The ensemble are both townspeople and enchanted objects. There are several solo lines in songs like Belle and The Mob Song, and many great dance numbers (Gaston, Be Our Guest, and Human Again). The Enchantress, Monsieur D'Arque, Young Prince, the Baker, the Baker’s wife and the Bookseller are all chorus members. Four chorus members will be wolves who fight the Beast. We are looking for musical theatre perfomers with good jazz and ballet technique, acrobatics and gymnastics are a plus. Everyone
must be good singers.
