National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $82 million to fund local arts projects across the country in the NEA's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2017. Included in this announcement is an Art Works award of $10,000 to support the Actors' Workshop at the Detroit Repertory Theatre.    (more...)

Before embarking on a European concert tour this summer, the Oakland University Chorale will present a Bon Voyage Concert on June 27 at Sweetest Heart of Mary Church in Detroit. The concert, Power, Passion, and Peace, will feature music from the Renaissance period to today. It is entirely a cappella and will span styles from sacred music that is more than 400 years old, to African American spirituals, to contemporary American choral music. (more...)
