The ladies tell everyone they're going to Dot's weekend cabin for book club, but it becomes clear after the third case of wine comes through the door there will be more stewing than reviewing. As bottles tip up, secrets spill out and men sneak in. "Girls' Weekend" is a lightning-quick farce written by local theatre veteran, Karen Schaeffer. The script was a hit in the 2012-13 Play Reading Series, and the Playhouse is excited to bring the story to life on the stage.

The Playhouse cast, directed by Kathy Pingel, features Kaci Kohlhepp Conetzkey, Peter Dean, Megan Schettler Schug, Rebecca Scholtec, Cody Schug, Michael Tallman, Gabe Thompson, and Nancy Zubrod.

The Playhouse is Iowa's oldest and largest producing theatre. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
