Echo Theatre is proud to announce the first show of our 2022 season: in a word by Lauren Yee, directed by Eric Berg!Today is Fionas birthday and the two-year anniversary of her sons disappearance, and still, nothing makes sense to her: not the incompetent detective, her understanding boss, or the neighborhood kidnapper who keeps casually introducing himself at the grocery store. Her husband, Guy, is desperately trying to move on, but Fiona delves back into her memories of that fateful day, struggling to find the right words to bring her son home. Open to all Military (active or retired), First Responders, and anyone who otherwise could not afford a night out.CREATIVE KID MATINEES In Partnership with The Playground Acting ProgramOne of the biggest barriers to accessibility for women+ in theatre is access to childcare. At Echo Theatre, we are excited to bring back our Creative Kid Matinees as a way to give more women+ audience members the chance to enjoy a show. During each Saturday matinee, children ages 6-12 can participate in an acting workshop led by a theatre instructor from The Playground Acting Program while parents enjoy the performance and a post-show talkback.-Workshops will be held on March 26, April 2, and April 9 at the Bath House Cultural Center.-Tickets to the workshop will be $15 for the first child registered, and $10 for each additional child.-Childrens release forms must be signed by a guardian at the theater.-Instructors will be fully-vaccinated and background-checked.-PPE masks must be worn during the workshop, and students should wear comfortable clothes that they can move in.-Limited to 20 students per workshop.
