Richland College presents "The Glass Menagerie," a play by Tennessee Williams. In this powerful and painful family drama, aging Southern belle Amanda longs for her youth and strives to give her two grown children a better life. However, her son Tom -- the story's narrator -- longs to flee their pitiful life, and her daughter Laura retreats into the dream world of her collection of tiny glass animals. Things change when Tom brings home a friend to meet the painfully shy Laura. Performances of "The Glass Menagerie" will be in the Arena Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 21-24 and at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24. Admission is free but seating is limited.
