Segerstrom Center for the Arts' wildly popular free Movie Mondays has become a not-to-be-missed summer tradition. This summer, Segerstrom Center celebrates the fifth year of Movie Mondays by screening five great movies on the Arts Plaza: the '60s surfside party film Beach Blanket Bingo starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello; cult classic Harold and Maude being presented in partnership with public radio station KCRW-Santa Monica; musical comedy Victor/Victoria featuring Julie Andrews and James Garner; the stage-to-screen adaptation of Chicago with Catherine Zeta-Jones,Renée Zellweger and Richard Gere; and Rodgers and Hammerstein's timeless The King and I, which was chosen as the Audience Favorite in an on-line poll by last year's attendees. Segerstrom Center has always been "the place" in Orange County to experience Broadway's best and brightest, and Movie Mondays offers audiences the most fun and exciting musical and dance films under the stars - and all for free.

The alfresco Movie Mondays, which is part of Segerstrom Center's Free for All series, is held on the Center's inviting 46,000-square-foot Arts Plaza with the films projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall. Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs or other easily portable seating items, as well as snacks and picnic suppers. Set-up begins at 5:30 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk.
