Local singer Keisha D will make her second appearance at the Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert in an all-new cabaret style concert on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 2 PM. The show entitled; "Born To Sing", will feature Jazz, Swing, and everything in between with a few of her fan's favorites as well as Keisha's own favorites from a few of her inspirations like Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Bessie Smith, and more. She has also invited another Valley favorite; Charles Herrera to join her, along with local sax players Michael Bolivar and John Bolivar, in addition to her musical director Charlie Creasy who'll accompany Keisha on the baby grand piano.

Keisha appears regularly in local clubs and restaurants as a solo artist and in musical variety reviews, and in stage musicals, most recently as "Melpomene" in Zanadu and "Motormouth Maybelle" in Hairspray. In 2008 Keisha won the prestigious Best Vocalist title in the McCallum Theater's highly acclaimed annual Open Call. An avid believer of giving back, Keisha is often asked to lend her talents for various Valley charities and is a featured vocalist at churches throughout the desert.

Keisha D in "Born To Sing" with Charlie Creasy on piano, guest vocalist Charles Herrera, and saxophonist's Michael and John Bolivar is Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 2 PM and is presented by Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Series. The $11 cash only tickets will be sold only at the box office, which opens at 1 PM, and early arrival is recommended.
