Juliana Hansen to Perform at Palm Desert's Arthur Newman Theater, 8/24

Actress and singer Juliana Hansen will perform her acclaimed one-woman cabaret concert entitled, "Juliana - Live" at the Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 2 PM and presented by Les Michaels Life Is A Cabaret Sundays In Summer Series. Musical director A.J. Robb will accompany Ms. Hansen on piano with hit songs from the Broadway stage, The Great American Songbook, and Hollywood films with an emphasis on Disney animated musicals. Born in Los Angeles, Juliana moved to New York City for her professional training then later earned her MA in Acting from England's Guildford Academy. Returning to NYC, she originated several roles in Off-Broadway productions, and to star in National tours including The Secret Garden, Bye, Bye Birdie, The Wizard Of Oz, Little Women, Nine, and Singing In The Rain. In 2007 she gained national attention on NBC's hit, Grease: You're The One That I Want where she made it to the top ten for the role of Sandy. She didn't win but was seen by the powers that be at Disney and can be heard singing in the animated feature Pocahontas, which led to her playing Jasmine in Aladdin Live at Disneyland and she performs multiple Disney heroines as a featured guest artists with symphony orchestras all over the world. In addition TV guest roles and feature films, Juliana can be seen in national commercials for Volvo and McDonalds. Juliana's musical director is the highly regarded A.J. Robb whose credits as pianist with national companies of numerous Broadway musicals spans from coast to coast.
