Lurking outside of human consciousness, there is another life force. A sinister existence simply waiting in the shadows for its chance to reclaim Earth as its own. Join us at Oddfellows Playhouse and watch our unassuming band of acrobats, clowns and jugglers duck, flip and fight their way out of certain peril. Will our heroes survive or will they too become pawns used by The Things That Go Creep?!?The latest original Circus-Theater piece by Circophony Teen Circus is a darkly comic new work inspired by 1950s horror films and the current pandemic. Directed by Allison McDermott, The Things That Go Creep runs March 3 - 5 at Oddfellows Playhouse in Middletown. Performances are at 7 pm on March 3, 4 and 5, and there is also a 2 pm matinee performance on Saturday, March 5. The performance on Thursday, March 3 is a pay-what-you-can Preview.The Things That Go Creep will be Circophonys first live performance since February, 2020, and it marks the beginning of the winter season at the Playhouse. Featuring eight performers, ages 12 - 18, Circophony Teen Circus is a collaboration between Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater and the Middletown-based theater company ARTFARM. McDermott, working with acrobatics and contortion coach Naja Muller, has created an original circus-theater piece annually for the past 5 years and it is a highlight of winter in Middletown. This winters show features scenic design by Suzanne LaTulipe, costume design by Marion Imbruglio, lighting design by Jon-Paul LaRocco, sound design by Rowan Trowbridge-Wheeler, and properties design by Karen Xu. Additional choreography provided by Pablo Puente and Dic Wheeler.Oddfellows Playhouse is located at 128 Washington Street in Middletown.
