Manager of Finance - Dramatists Play Service, Inc.

A leading play licensing and publishing company is seeking a Manager of Finance. Position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance & Administration and supervises two Finance staff.



Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):



Supervise the day-to-day functions of the Finance department

Oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

Manage the processing of credit card sales

Manage month and year-end reporting including bank and inventory reconciliations, detailed GL account analysis and journal preparation

Assist with cash flow management and banking

Assist with Federal, State and Local tax reporting

Manage the preparation and reconciliation of year-end 1099 and 1042-S tax reporting

Requirements:



Accounting experience required, especially knowledge of GL, AR and AP

High level of expertise and knowledge in Excel

High level of accuracy expected

Motivated self-starter with ability to problem-solve, prioritize and multi-task, sometimes during high volume of customer transactions

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous management experience an advantage

Knowledge of theatre industry and love of theatre itself also a plus
