A stunning new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC will open the season. This reinvention produced by Lincoln Center Theater, swept the 2008 Tony Awards®, winning seven honors including Best Musical Revival and Best Director for Bartlett Sher. Set on a tropical island during World War II, the musical tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices. The beloved score's songs include Some Enchanted Evening, I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair, This Nearly Was Mine and There is Nothin' Like A Dame.

Cincinnati audiences will have nothing but a good time when ROCK OF AGES plays the Aronoff Center in October. This arena-rock love story about a small town girl and a big city rocker is told through the greatest songs of the 80's and features music by JOURNEY, Night Ranger, STYX, REO SPEEDWAGON, PAT BENETAR, TWISTED SISTER, POISON, ASIA, WHITESNAKE and many more.

The New Mel Brooks Musical YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN makes its Cincinnati premiere in November. Based on the Oscar-nominated smash hit 1974 film, Young Frankenstein, this wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that's Fronkensteen) as he attempts to complete his grandfather's masterwork and bring a corpse to life. Together with his oddly shaped and endearing helper Igor (that's Eye-gor), his curvaceous lab assistant Inga, and in spite of his incredibly self-involved madcap fiancée Elizabeth, Frankenstein succeeds in creating a monster -- but not without scary and quite often hilarious complications.

The international dance sensation BURN THE FLOOR will visit Cincinnati direct from its record-breaking run on Broadway. People have seen Ballroom dance on shows like "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance" and now with BURN THE FLOOR, they will experience, live on stage, the passion, the drama and the sizzling excitement of 20 gorgeous champion dancers, in a true theatrical experience. The show takes audiences on a journey through the drama of dance. The elegance of the Viennese Waltz, the exuberance of the Jive, the intensity of the Paso Doble - audiences will experience them all, as well as the Tango, Samba, Mambo, Quickstep and Swing.

The timeless classic FIDDLER ON THE ROOF will finally return to Cincinnati after 10 years. Based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has been lauded by critics again and again, and continues to win the hearts of people all around the world. Audiences love the rousing, heartwarming score, which includes "Tradition," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," "If I Were A Rich Man" and "Sunrise, Sunset".

SHREK, THE MUSICAL will close the season in April. Based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, this new musical brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to life on stage and features a terrific score of 19 all-new songs, big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery. It's part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone.
