Season Finales of CBS Dramas End on the Upswing

The season finales of NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and Person of Interest all posted solid week-to-week growth in viewers and key demographics, leading CBS to a Tuesday win in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for May 13.

The NCIS season finale was first in viewers (16.77m), adults 25-54 (3.7/11) and adults 18-49 (2.6/09). NCIS finished ahead of "The Voice" in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.5) for the first time this season. NCIS posted its best delivery in adults 18-49 since April 8, and was the night's #1 program in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

The season finale of NCIS: Los Angeles was first in viewers (14.77m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07). NCIS: Los Angeles posted its best adults 18-49 rating since Feb. 4. Compared to last week, NCIS was up +14% in adults 18-49 (from 2.2/06), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.2/08) and added +660,000 viewers (from 14.11m (+5%).

At 10:00 PM, the Person of Interest season finale was first in viewers (10.83m) and adults 25-54 (2.7/07) and was tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.9/06, with NBC). Compared to last week, Person of Interest was up +12% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/05) and added +330,000 viewers (from 10.50m, +3%).

For the night, CBS was first in viewers (14.12m), adults 25-54 (3.3/09) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). CBS beat second-place NBC by +6.06m viewers (vs. 8.06m, +75%), +22% in adults 25-54 (vs. 2.7/07) and +15% in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.0/06).
