As the 2013-14 season settles in, the networks are making their choice on which shows to keep, and which to axe.

According to Deadline, NBC has cancelled its struggling freshman series WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, starring Mike O'Malley and Mary McCormack, and its reboot of IRONSIDE, lead by Blair Underwood. FAMILY's cancellation is effective immediately, while IRONSIDE will air one additional episode next Wednesday, Oct. 23.

The network has also ordered an additional four episodes of SEAN SAVES THE WORLD, despite its lukewarm response from critics and audiences alike.

The news comes just a few hours after CBS announced it had given a full season order to Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar's THE CRAZY ONES, THE MILLERS starring Will Arnett, and MOM with Anna Faris and Allison Janney.

Creator-writer Mike Sikowitz ("Rules of Engagement," "Friends") serves as an executive producer along with Jamie Tarses ("Happy Endings," "Franklin & Bash") for WELCOME TO FAMILY. Michael Engler serves as executive producer/director. "Welcome to the Family" is a production of Sony Pictures Television.

For IRONSIDE, Ken Sanzel ("Numbers"), Teri Weinberg ("The Office"), John Fox ("The Blacklist"), John Davis ("I, Robot"), Ron West ("Man Up!") and David Semel ("House") serve as executive producers on the series.
