NBC Sports Group announced today that Jennifer Storms has been named Chief Marketing Officer for NBC Sports Group. Storms will oversee all marketing for NBC Sports Group assets, which include NBC Sports, NBCSN, Golf Channel, the 10 NBC Sports Regional Networks, NBC Sports Radio and NBC Sports Digital. She will also be responsible for The NBC Sports Agency, which uses NBC Sports Group marketing resources to produce campaigns for group partners, which have included the Premier League, PGA TOUR and NHL. Storms begins her new role on October 1 and will report to Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBC Sports Group.

John D. Miller, CMO, NBC Sports Group, who turns 65 next month and announced his personal decision to the company last week to transition his role, will focus solely on the Olympics. Miller will lead the Olympic marketing efforts for Rio and co-lead for Pyeongchang. He will also continue as Chair of NBCUniversal's Marketing Council, which includes the marketing leaders from every NBCUniversal division, and will oversee all cross-company promotional opportunities and marketing initiatives known as "Symphony."

"Jenny is a dynamic marketer who has the ability to lead teams creatively and strategically, and has important relationships with leagues, teams and athletes," said Lazarus. "With John's extended transition and the addition of Jenny, we are well-positioned to continue our momentum, marketing and promoting our biggest events."

Jennifer 'Jenny' Storms:

Storms joins NBC Sports Group from PepsiCo, Inc., where she most recently served as Senior Vice President of Global Sports Marketing. In that role, she was responsible for developing and implementing an integrated global sports strategy across PepsiCo's portfolio, including 22 flagship global billion-dollar brands. She also owned the relationships for PepsiCo's sports initiatives, including the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL, as well as many team and player partnerships.

Previously, Storms led sports strategy and property management for PepsiCo-owned Gatorade, including league, team, influencer and athlete partnerships. She managed the brand's relationships with the NFL, NHL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, colleges, teams and other sports organizations, as well as athletes, including Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, Peyton Manning, Serena Williams and many others.

Prior to joining PepsiCo in 2009, Storms served in various marketing and programming leadership positions at Turner Broadcasting System / Turner Sports in Atlanta. She held a succession of positions during her 14-year tenure with the company, culminating in her role as a senior vice president of Turner Sports Marketing & Programming. She began her career at the USOC, where she served as the International Games preparation liaison for the Pan American Games from 1994-1995.

Storms has a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University.

John D. Miller:

Miller was named CMO for NBC Sports Group in February 2011, and remains Chair, NBCUniversal Marketing Council. Previously, Miller co-founded and led The NBC Agency from 1999 to 2010. The NBC Agency was the industry's first full-service advertising agency comprised of an award-winning in-house unit that quickly established itself as one of the country's top creative commercial firms. Under Miller's direction, The NBC Agency built on the NBC Advertising & Promotion Department's long tradition as a television industry leader with innovative marketing, promotion and branding concepts, and campaigns. Miller has also overseen the creation of successful franchise campaigns, such as the ubiquitous "Must See TV," and helped to develop and strengthen the network's brand identity.

Miller joined NBC in August 1982 as Vice President, Affiliate Promotion Services, West Coast. He was promoted six times between 1982 and 1993, in various executive marketing, advertising, promotions and programming roles throughout NBC Entertainment and NBC TV. In 1993, Miller became Executive Vice President, Advertising and Promotion, a position he held for six years. Miller began his career in promotion for TV stations and affiliates for NBC and CBS.
